We go through life, each on our own journey and on our own path. We face different challenges, placed in our life to make us stronger. These situations break us down, allowing us the opportunities to come out as a more glorious being, a being who is healing, learning and growing. When we come out, we have a history to tell, a story of how we were able to overcome our adversary (opposition).
Kin = Gold
Tsugi = Join
Kintsugi = Joining with gold
We may decide to hide aspects of ourselves due to feelings, such as that of shame, that are associated with these parts. However, I encourage you to embrace these part of yourselves, the parts of ourselves we call flaws, for when we do so, we're able to heal ourselves.
Imagine yourself as a beautiful bowl, this is how you come into the world, perfect in all ways. As we go through life, we experience different situations such as our first love, pain, financial ease/difficulties. Some of these may leave us feeling like we're broken, however, we're never truly broken.
By looking and acknowledging the 'broken' pieces, we're able to glue them together and embellish them with gold. The final bowl, though flawed, isn't only more glorious but has also increased in its value. I hope that you can look at your so called 'flaws' with kindness and embrace the wisdom it has to offer.
"He makes beauty out of ashes'' β Isiah 61:3
