Is it easy to drive leads? If you're new to digital marketing, you might think that setting up a Blog/TikTok/IG page and sharing it with your audience or acquiring leads is easy. The truth is, it's not.
You might have already done heaps of "scroll" research on these platforms. Maybe you tried a few strategies, some worked and others didn't.
An easier and more effective lead process is utilizing the right strategies to attract quality prospects.
This leads us to the realm of:
Digital Marketing
Digital marketing is a type of marketing that uses social media, search engines, display advertising, and other channels to promote a product or service. It can be direct or indirect. The goal of digital marketing is usually to generate new leads and/or sales. All these things are ways to boost traffic to your business (yes, this means your blog as well).
More traffic = Higher probability of new leads.
Within the digital marketing realm, there are many strategies and strategies within those strategies… It's just a big strategy fest!
To make this process easier, I briefly broke down 4 actionable strategies.
Note: I'll post more in-depth blogs on each of the 4.
Let's dive on in!
STRATEGIES
1. Data-driven marketing
Data-driven marketing is the process of using data to improve marketing efforts. Data can be used to optimize campaigns, predict what will work, or won't, and will help you understand your audience better. This is critical…think of your audience. What do your people want?
The different types of data that are commonly used include:
- Search engine keyword data (SEO)
- Site analytics (traffic sources and visitor behavior)
- Customer purchase history
2. Direct-to-consumer
Direct-to-consumer marketing is a direct relationship between the brand and the consumer. This type of marketing allows for an intimate connection with your target audience. They can then interact with you directly through social media and other platforms. Additionally, this is typically done online, giving your audience easy access to information about your products and services at any time of day or night.
Direct-to-consumer marketing also provides cost-effectiveness by allowing you to reach out to a niche audience instead of trying to appeal to everyone at once.
If someone has expressed interest in your product/service because they are part of a similar industry with similar issues as yours, then they are more likely than others to purchase.
YES! Even more than those exposed directly through advertising campaigns or word-of-mouth recommendations (in the same niche) who have already purchased something similar before them!
3. Digital experience management
Digital experience management is the use of digital technologies to improve customer experience. It is a key component of the customer experience journey, which is complex and evolving.
It will always come back to "give the people what they want".
Digital experience management combines elements of customer experience management, digital marketing, and digital asset management. This enables you to engage with your audience/customers at every touchpoint in their journey across all channels.
One simple thing you can do daily is to ensure the performance speed of your site is functioning at its fastest rate.
4. Digital disruption
It is likely that you have heard of disruption before. The term has been around for years, and it describes a change that occurs when innovation makes an existing idea or business model obsolete. Disruption can be positive or negative, depending on the innovator's goals and intentions. However, it can also be a good idea to embrace disruption especially if you want to remain relevant in the digital age.
Think about how your blog or business could disrupt its market with something new — a product upgrade or service offering that no one else has thought of yet!
Digital marketing is an important part of any marketing strategy now, more than ever.
Digital marketing is an essential part of any business's strategy. Digital media advertising includes paid advertising on search engines; display advertising on social networking sites like Facebook; or mobile advertising by text message, e-mail newsletter or push notifications.
Digital marketing is growing faster than any other segment in the world economy. Of course, the pandemic and recession, have made things a bit jumpy. However, even now half of all consumers are influenced by digital ads when making a purchase decision — and this percentage will only grow over time! In 2021 the U.S. alone estimated spending at 13.3 billion in the digital marketing software market according to Grand View Research.
We have to put Web3 into consideration as well. I will be posting more on Web3 in the future.
Marketing effectively is not a magic trick, and you don't have to be a magician. It just takes strategies, work, and learning from your mistakes (which is inevitable). Marketing is about staying one step ahead and making sure every extra hour you write and dollar you spend will actually produce the most effective results.
I will be posting soon a more in-depth blog on each strategy and how to optimize them. If you found this blog helpful, take a read of some of my others.
Stay tuned and keep learning!
