I learned about a new AI writer on Tik Tok recently, called Article Forge. What appealed to me about Article Forge was that it was essentially a one-shot blog post AI writer that could create SEO-optimized blog posts.

They had a 5-day free trial so I gave it a shot.

Here's what happened…

Trying Article Forge for 5 days

My trial has been over for a while now. There are things I liked and disliked about Article Forge.

Before I get into it, here's a rundown of what it's about…

  • Write entire articles
  • Automatic AI writer
  • SEO-optimized content
  • Articles are written in 60 seconds

It's true that it writes articles lightning-fast.

You start by feeding it a keyword you want to rank for. Then, you can select how long you want your blog post to be:

  • Very short (50 words)
  • Short (250 words)
  • Medium (500 words)
  • Long (750 words)
  • Very long (1,500 words)

Article Forge

You can customize your article with:

  • An image
  • Video

You can also choose to post to WordPress, replace keywords with links, and include rewriting.

In all, the tool is incredibly easy to use. The writing is pretty good, too.

I'd say it's better than Jasper AI's one shot blog post tool and about as good as Copy AI's blog post wizard.

You definitely have to do some proofreading and editing, of course. This is a step you just can't skip when using any AI writer, in my opinion.

What I really liked about Article Forge is the ability to write up to 1,500 words of content.

With this, after making my edits, I could easily turn that first draft into 2,000 to 3,500 words, which is what I did during my trial.

It's a feature that I haven't seen other AI writers do quite as well.

Here are the pros and cons of using Article Forge…

Pros and Cons of Article Forge

What I liked and disliked, along with general advantages and drawbacks you should consider…

Pros of Article Forge

  • Easy to use
  • 5-day free trial
  • Can set various article lengths
  • Fast AI writer (60 seconds)

Cons of Article Forge

  • Price
  • It's for blog posts/articles only

So, you'll love that Article Forge is easy to use and super fast in writing your content.

Literally, 60 seconds and done.

It's great that you can write as short or as long of blog posts as you wish, between 50 and 1,500 words, which I think is stellar.

My experience with the 5-day free trial

The 5-day free trial is also great but, I had a bit of a hangup with it.

First, it takes your credit card information.

So, you can only get your trial if you add your credit card details. And, if you forget to cancel on time then guess what, you get charged. Not so fond of that though, it's not uncommon with trials.

The trial also led me to believe I'd get 100,000 words, which was the plan that I would've paid for if I would've opted for the paid plan during or after the trial (I did not).

The trial is for 10,000 words instead so 1/10th of the way into my journey to 100K words (I actually came up with a challenge for this to see if I could write 100K words in 5 days), I was done.

I ended up writing about 9,950 words.

Had I gone over 10K words, after canceling, they would've charged me a prorated amount for the overage, which I think is nuts.

I am glad there was a stop in place that prevented me from going over 10K words but if not, I think that's pretty deceptive.

I've never seen any kind of practice like that before from other "free" trials I've participated in.

The major drawback is the price.

It's about $300 or so for the year, or $27/month billed annually.

The price itself isn't so bad compared to Jasper or Copy AI, each at around $40/month but, Jasper AI and Copy AI offer a lot more.

With Article Forge, it's literally just blog posts/articles.

No product descriptions, ads, sales copy, or other kinds of copy you might need written by AI, that the two competitors I mentioned above offer.

I think if you truly only need blog content, it could work for you.

Why I didn't buy Article Forge

I went through Article Forge's 5-day free trial in about 2.5 days and I didn't buy.

Here's why…

I already have Jasper AI and Copy AI. I love both tools and hope to choose one to ultimately work within the next few weeks.

I have a need for different kinds of content, not just blog posts. Because of that, I choose to pay a little more for these tools that offer me other kinds of AI-written copy, in addition to blog posts.

If I only needed blogs, I'd probably go with Article Forge.

At about $30/month for 100K monthly content, I think it is pretty good and a cheap alternative to hiring a virtual assistant or freelancer to help you write.

If you have any curiosity surrounding this AI writer, I encourage you to check out their free trial but, keep in mind the things I shared:

  • You'll need to provide your credit card info
  • The trial is for 10,000 words for 5 days
  • If you go over 10K words, you'll get charged for the difference
