In general wellness is "an active process through which people become aware of, and make choices toward, a more successful existence." I hope to inspire an open minded approach to creating a greater sense of wellness for all so that we may see how this plays a key role in experiencing prosperity. The term wellness can be utilized in many ways. Although there might be different views on what wellness encompasses, among leaders in the health field, there is a shared model of general wellness. Wellness is considered a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of achieving our highest potential. Wellness is holistic. It encompasses lifestyle, mental and spiritual well-being, as well as our environment. Some questions that can help assess the degree to which wellness is incorporated into a particular aspect of our lives are: Does this help us reach more of our full potential? Does this recognize us as a whole person (multi-dimensional approach)? Does this affirm and empower our positive qualities and strengths? The following are practices that can propel us forward towards a greater sense of nurturing well-being within our lives.

Ask for help

Occasionally, we have the tendency to get stuck in our heads with no one to pull us out. Our issues feel like ours and ours alone. This loss of perspective can produce feelings of seclusion and helplessness. There is always help available from someone who can present an alternate viewpoint and serve as a support system for individuals, couples, and families. This may be in the form of friends, family members, elders, community members or professionals. Counselors, therapists, coaches or other wellness and healing practitioners offer a safe non-judgmental environment to voice and process the inner issues we all struggle with .A therapeutic relationship is built by addressing your concerns with both empathy and validation. The practitioner is not there to judge you or make decisions for you; he or she is only there to listen and provide the tools needed to help gain perspective. Together, you can move towards goals tailored to meet your needs.

Find your purpose

Becoming in tune with work that fills our life with meaning and direction can bring us richness in numerous ways. We have all experienced the feeling of accomplishment and pride that comes from a job well done. Often we may feel trapped in a job or a position that does not truly bring out the best of what we have to offer. Long term work in this type of environment can create feelings of doubt about our own sense of self-worth. If only we could define our true mission in life, we could move forward with confidence, purpose, and ease toward goals that really inspire us. If you have been experiencing this don't worry, you're not alone. Most people don't know what their specific purpose is, but it doesn't have to be this way. Starting now, you can take steps to define your purpose and then start living it. You can create simple goals and tasks for yourself in all areas of your life. Repeated achievement reinforces itself. Work and accomplishment does not have to be necessarily be tied into your career or even employment. It can be as simple as working on activities that you feel passionate about. However, eventually this also may lead to gaining the self-confidence needed to pursue dream career you've always wanted.

Share your gifts.

Related to the idea of creating a sense of wellness through accomplishing goals, we each have things that we are naturally good at or simply love doing for no explainable reason. Creating opportunities to share these gifts can build up our sense of self mastery and foster self-esteem. Thus encouraging and reinforcing the belief that we have innate worth. This in turn can give us the confidence needed to try new experiences and experiment with learning new things. A healthy sense of pride comes from one's sense of confidence and capability. Esteem and related emotions instill a sense of success and the confidence that you can accomplish whatever you set out to do. In addition the feeling is fun. We get to share what makes us unique, with others and hopefully inspire others through our example to share their authentic gifts as well. Research as shown that people that help others are happier. I believe this is because on some level we understand that we are all connected. It is when we are able to contribute to the greater good that we really line up with the infinite flow of abundance and prosperity. We have become a match a universal truth that through giving we can experience an infinite flow of wealth.

Listen to your body

The idea of listening to your body is becoming highly recognized. Often the body will communicate to us in very subtle ways that we are stressed, unhappy or that we are involved in activities that are not aligned with our health. Learning to hear these gentle nudges can help us seek the support needed before it turns into a full scale cold, illness or other existential crisis. Although we may not have been taught to heed these internal messages, medical professionals are beginning to acknowledge the links between emotional and physical health. So rather then waiting until we actually are unwell, we can begin to practice self-care, resting, or responding far earlier. Sometimes these subtle communications are from the higher self saying it may be a call for us to make more significant changes such as lifestyle, diet, or a change in environment. However by developing a strong sense of awareness of how we are feeling, we can ultimately make choices that support us moving in the direction of wellness. It is a good idea to incorporate the habit of drinking at least 32oz. of water every morning. Drinking pure water throughout the day will help to keep your body functioning at its highest frequency.

Question your beliefs

We each have some level of conditioning, psychological influence, and pressure from our family, culture, and society, to uphold certain beliefs and values. The idea that we have to continue to maintain and affirm all of these beliefs and ideas is passé. As we grow more fully into our own sense of being, through lessons learned within our own unique life experiences, it is entirely healthy to revise our beliefs and values to reflect our new found ideals. This is an ongoing process. It's important not to trample on other people's freedoms in pursuit of our own. Even when we feel our way of thinking may be for someone else's "own good," it's important that everyone has the right to their own opinion and beliefs. Practicing the art of allowing makes you a match to more people coming into your life who will support your freedom to be who you are. Each step towards exercising our personal empowerment creates freedom of choice. Through a broader perspective we understand that we can have a positive impact on the enrichment of culture and the lives of those around us.

Focus on what you want.

Firstly we need to be in the practicing of asking ourselves for we what. For some of us this can be the most difficult part. We may be so accustomed to not receiving what we prefer in life that at some point we have decided to give up on dreaming big. You probably have a vision or a dream in your heart that is just waiting to come to life. Know that if you are able to conceive the idea, it is possible to create it and experience it. The mere fact that you imagined an idea means that it is actually already exists in an alternate reality. That's what envisioning is, it's simply tapping into an alternate YOU. Your job is simply to line up with the feeling of it, or more specifically the vibration (more on this in later teachings). For now begin by clearing your mind and relaxing. With pen and paper, write down all the things you love to do and things that you would like to experience. Ask yourself the questions, "If I could do anything in life, what would it be? What is my mission and purpose here on this planet?" Once you find the answers begin to take small steps today that will lead you to your vision. As you become more excited and focused in the direction of your dreams and as the energy builds, the Universe will help you by bringing in support, synchronicities, and blessings. Remember on a basic level that the law of attraction simply brings you what you focus on. So if you focus on what you do not want that is what you will attract more of. This is why learning this practice of focusing on what you want brings about some of the most profound and miraculous life changes.

Listen to Your Heart

When you begin to create a life of magic and miracles you will see that listening to your heart is the only way. You may have been told all of your life that the heart is just an organ and the brain is the center of our system. New research however is proving what shamans and ancients have always known that the heart has its own mind. And that is several times more powerful than our brain. The wonderful thing about the Universe is that when you follow your heart and your inner knowing, it will always support you in every way. Taking steps in the direction of what you feel called to do is very courageous and difficult especially if it is not what others think is normal. You will never experience lasting happiness if you take on other people's ideas about what you should be doing with your life. Listen to your heart do what feels right to you. Everyone has a different purpose so yours will be unique, do not compare yourself to others. If you do not know what your heart is telling you to do then simply ask for signs, Ask and You Shall receive.

Spend Time in Nature

Spend time in nature as a way to help balance your energetic body, ground you, align you with the rhythm of the earth and bring you overall more peace. Breathing in the fresh air, the smells, the sounds, seeing the amazing beauty of the world we live in will bring you straight back into the essence of your being. Nature is abundant with life and you will see your reflection in that truth. There is never anything lacking in nature. Nature shows you that you have all that you need already inside of you, it is just waiting to be discovered and awakened. Make it a priority to visit places in nature like the mountains, streams, the beach, and the forest. Every aspect of Earth is amazing, beautiful and full of lessons. This is what you are coming back into resonance with.

Express gratitude

"Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. "(Jesus Mark 11:24) At the root of living a life of prosperity and abundance is the belief that everything you want is already yours. The secret to having it all is believing you do. I understand this can be a challenge if the physical proof has not manifested yet (trust me I know). This is where the real magic happens. You have to find the way to create within your beliefs, your emotions, and your vibration that energy of that very thing you wish to attract. When you become a match to something through your frequency it can't not show up in your experience. This is basic quantum physics and even beyond that it is Universal Law. I will continue to share through my teachings the techniques that I use to make this particular belief my dominant reality. For now just begin with keeping a gratitude journal. This can have a profound effect on your well-being if you set an intention in the morning and then close the day with gratitude. These are just a few of the practices that can be utilized on a consistent basis which will bring us into mind, body, spirit alignment. This is key for any type of prosperity or manifestation work. Any of the conscious creation work that you do out of alignment will feel like you are working too hard to create what you desire. It will feel like a constant struggle. However when you are in alignment or in the flow as we call it, things just seem to fall into place. Doors upon up for you, the people you need show up, and the opportunities for experiencing all that you desire just magically show up. This all takes practice but it starts with these basic life changes. I hope you all enjoyed this series on Prosperity!
